Nicole Olsen, MS

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor & Licensed School Counselor

I provide respectful, collaborative, strengths-based, integrative psychotherapy in an authentic and nonjudgmental environment. My clients tend to be adolescents, young adults, and female-identified.  I primarily see individuals though I do some work with families. I seem to be an especially good fit for folks who are struggling with codependency, have a history of trauma or unhealthy relationships, or are struggling with self-worth and identity. I offer a combination of traditional talk therapy, skill-building, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an eye-movement therapy designed to decrease the emotional reactivity and distressing symptoms experienced following a traumatic event.

It’s important to me that you reach your goals and walk away with insights and skills that will help you throughout your life. To that end, I am continuously doing my own work so that I can be available to my clients in a way that is healing for them. I live in Mankato with my husband and our two black labs. For fun, I enjoy running and walking on the local trails, playing volleyball, and attending live music events in town.

One specialty treatment Nicole provides is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T). A.R.T. is an innovative eye-movement therapy designed to decrease the emotional reactivity and distressing symptoms experienced following a traumatic event. Nicole has seen remarkable results for clients with PTSD (sexual assault, childhood abuse, car accident, etc.), depression, anxiety, and loss.
