Dr. Lindsay Murn is a Licensed Psychologist with over a decade of clinical experience providing individual and group therapy to older adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds.
Lindsay utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, guided by psychodynamic theory and several evidence-based and trauma-informed treatments. Lindsay aims to create a compassionate and collaborative space where individuals can explore painful or traumatic experiences, better understand unhealthy life patterns, and identify solutions to current problems. Insight gained through therapy is a catalyst for healing from trauma, restoring autonomy, achieving balance, and improving overall well-being.
Two specialty treatments Lindsay provides are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T). DBT is effective for those who struggle with emotional dysregulation, negative thought patterns, and self-harmful or addictive behaviors. Through DBT, individuals learn healthier ways of coping, thinking, feeling, reacting, and relating. Visit our Group Therapy tab for more information.
A.R.T. is an innovative eye-movement therapy designed to decrease the emotional reactivity and distressing symptoms experienced following a traumatic event. Lindsay has seen remarkable results for clients with PTSD (sexual assault, childhood abuse, car accident, etc.), depression, anxiety, and loss. Please visit http://acceleratedresolutiontherapy.com to learn more.
Currently, Lindsay is only taking new clients for A.R.T. and DBT.
Lindsay also provides clinical supervision to masters and doctoral-level trainees, or to practitioners seeking licensure as an LP, LPC, or LPCC.
