Katelyn Croteau, MA

Post-degree, Pre-licensure Psychotherapist

Katelyn received her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Katelyn additionally holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Metropolitan State University and has previously worked for various Public Safety entities for several years.

Within her therapeutic approach, Katelyn believes that therapy is a place in which you examine your story and the various meanings you’ve applied to it. Clients can expect to be validated for their worth and be challenged to change the stories of their life that keep them stuck. Katelyn brings gentle firmness, empathic attunement, and humor, as clients review and possibly, challenge the story of their life.

As a therapist, Katelyn collaborates with clients to find the best forms of interventions for each individual, couple, or family and practices from an integrated framework of Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Katelyn believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and that change and acceptance happen within a trusting and honest therapeutic relationship.

Outside of the office, Katelyn enjoys reading, camping, kayaking, and spending time with her fiancé and their dogs. Katelyn is an out provider and additionally works well with individuals that identify as LGBTQ+.
