Jane Ek is a counseling intern under professional supervision working toward licensure as a LPCC. She received her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Jane believes in the importance of building a safe, validating, and trusting therapeutic relationship. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults on an individual basis, as well as working with couples and families. She has worked with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and more. Jane uses a client-centered and strengths-based approach that integrates techniques tailored to each client’s needs.
Jane was born and raised in Mankato, and has happily remained in the area throughout her life. She enjoys being with her family and friends, spending most of her time with her two young sons. She also enjoys music, puzzles, reading, TV and video games.
