Nicole Olsen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed School Counselor. She received her master’s degree in professional school counseling (K-12) from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2014. Nicole has experience helping clients who are coping with trauma, relationship and family issues, and adjustment to major life changes through individual and group work. With a combined six years of victim advocacy and school-based work, Nicole has experience with crisis intervention and working collaboratively with clients and their loved ones to address mental health concerns.
Nicole was born and raised in the Mankato area and lives here with her partner and their two black labs. She enjoys being active; running and walking on the local trails and playing volleyball. She also enjoys live music, reading, cooking, and helping others improve their overall health.
Nicole believes that therapy is a collaborative effort and encourages clients to be very active in the therapeutic process. Through the use of a cognitive-behavioral, psycho-educational, and solution-focused modalities and a strengths-based, client-centered focus, Nicole seeks to enhance clients’ levels of motivation for personal growth and change.
